Fluid Boundaries: A Modern Ritual of Objects, Movement, and Taste
What happens when the mundane meets the magical? Our latest performance is a contemporary ritual that blurs the lines between movement, everyday objects, sensory taste, and the human body. By placing familiar household items, like shampoo bottles and cleaning products, into a highly stylized, performative space, we strip them of their utility and explore their raw shape, form, and relationship to the room and the performers.
As the performance unfolds, the boundaries between the spectator and the spectacle begin to dissolve.
The Hypnotic Loop of Repetition
The performers engage in precise, repetitive movements. This choreographic loop acts as a psychological trigger for the audience. By stripping away narrative distractions, the repetition creates a hypnotic, almost meditative frequency. It pulls the viewer out of their logical mind, clearing a space where deep feelings, buried thoughts, and intense focus can naturally emerge.
Spectator or Participant?
You do not just watch this performance; you are absorbed by it. The audience’s physical presence directly alters the tension in the room, turning every bystander into an active element of the space. As "human-objects" and physical objects shift around you, the comfort of passive observing vanishes. You become part of the living installation.
The Ultimate Test of Curiosity
The culmination of this modern ritual challenges the senses through taste. Strange, glowing "potions" are introduced to the space. When presented with an unknown elixir, a thrilling tension arises: Will the audience trust the magic of the moment? Do you dare to drink? This interactive threshold forces each visitor to decide exactly how far they are willing to step into the illusion
